The Society of Women Engineers have announced the presentation of the Emerging Leaders Award to Erika Lyn Edgerly, manufacturing engineering manager for Intel Corporation's Fab 11 in New Mexico.  Ms. Edgerly is being presented with the award to recognize her management achievements and her leadership qualities that have ensured the efficient running of one of the world's largest semiconductor fabs.

An employee of Intel since 1994, Edgerly has responsibility for layout, cost planning and capacity of the factory while also being responsible for a team of ergonomic engineers, ensuring the development and maintenance of ergonomics standards for the company.

She has progressed through the ranks of Intel from her initial position as a capacity planning industrial engineer to factory capital engineer, which positions were then succeeded by managerial roles in the company, and eventually her current role as manufacturing engineer manager.

Edgerly has a BS degree in industrial engineering from New Mexico State University and an MBA degree from the University of New Mexico.  She is an active SWE member.
