Simon BlochA Mentor Graphics employee since 2002, Simon Bloch (pictured) has accepted the role of Vice President and General Manager of the company’s Design and Synthesis division. In this role he will be based in the company’s San Jose office and will oversee all field programmable gate array (FPGA) and electronic system level (ESL) design and synthesis products.

Before joining Mentor six years ago, Bloch founded and served as CEO of Aristo Technology. He also worked in IC design for VLSI Technology, Compass Design and Daisy Systems, prior to which he worked in ASIC design with Tadiran Electronics. A graduate of Tel Aviv University, he has a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

Mentor Graphics is an EDA company.
