The SEZ Group has reported record net sales and order intake for the first six months of 2006. Sales of 300mm equipment accounted for more than 80 percent of equipment sales, with the ‘Da Vinci' single wafer spin processor product line, accounted for nearly 65 percent of equipment sales, according to the company.
The company also reported that order intake had improved by 47.8 percent to CHF 196.0 million for the six month period, while second quarter orders surpassed CHF 100 million for the first time. Mid-year order backlog stood at CHF 86.2 million. Orders from foundries and, especially from memory chipmakers were noted as key sales markets in the period accounted for. Consolidated net sales reached CHF 168.2 million for the first six months of 2006.
SEZ is expected to introduce a multi-chamber tool configuration for its recently developed Enhanced Sulfuric Acid (ESA) strip process, an all-wet chemistry solution for single-wafer photoresist removal, in the fourth quarter of this year.
