MattsonA Japanese-based IC manufacturer has purchased a Suprema photoresist strip system from Mattson Technology. According to Mattson, the order comes from a new account and extends its installed base of Suprema systems and increases its share of the photoresist strip market.

"Suprema continues to win new accounts and gain acceptance by the leading IC manufacturers globally, resulting in market share gain for Mattson in the dry strip arena,” commented David L. Dutton, President and CEO of Mattson Technology. “This order represents a new account for the Company; and is the result of our valued partnership with Canon, our Japan distributor. Mattson is a leading dry strip supplier to the Japan market, and this order reaffirms the Company's growing presence in this key region."

“Our customer made a thorough evaluation of Suprema for removability of their toughest HDIS layer, as well as minimum silicon loss performance, and found Suprema to be the superior tool,” noted Neal Holmlund, Sr. Vice President and General Manager of Mattson Technology's Surface Cleaning Group. “We look forward to supporting our customer as they make further advances in their technological capabilities."
