AxcelisA major memory chip manufacturer with 300mm fabs in multiple countries, believed to be Qimonda AG has ordered over 20 RadiantStrip 320 photoresist dry strip systems from Axcelis Technologies. The tools began shipping in the first quarter of 2006, according to the company.

"Our customer tells us that the RadiantStrip 320's long track record of reliability and process flexibility were decisive factors in the tool-purchasing process," said Mary Puma, chairman and CEO of Axcelis. "The platform is ideally suited to the demands of high-volume memory manufacturing, where the need for tool reliability and versatility is at a premium."
