SpansionSpansion Inc has presented its ‘World Class Supplier' (WCS) Pathfinder Award for Best Supplier to Nikko Materials, for its sputtering targets that include copper and aluminum for interconnect; titanium and tantalum for barrier; and cobalt for gate applications. The same award was also given to Matheson Tri Gas a supplier of specialty gases to Spansion's 200mm, Fab 25, located in Austin, Texas.

World Class Supplier achievement award went to Asahi Glass Corporation Electronic Materials (AGCEM) and Cintas Corporation.

"Our award-winning suppliers play a critical role in ensuring the rapid deployment of our MirrorBit(R) NOR and ORNAND solutions, and in enabling us to rapidly transition to advanced process technologies," said Randy Blair, vice president of Fab 25 for Spansion. "We believe these companies offer premier products, service and support and are aligned with our commitment to deliver added-value solutions to our customers."

The Spansion Fab 25 wafer fabrication facility features up to 120,000 square feet of clean room space. The facility manufactures 110 and 90nm floating-gate processes.
