Entegris starts Malaysian manufacturing site expansion Print E-mail
Mar 22, 2006 at 09:33 AM
ImageEntegris has begun construction of a 91,000 square-foot extension to its Kulim, Malaysia manufacturing facility that will house both research and development and manufacturing capabilities. The Kulim plant was originally built in 1997 and is dedicated to wafer handling, liquid dispense and finished electronics packaging (data storage, flat panel displays) products. "It boils down to two positive results -- lowering manufacturing costs, and improving service by being close to customers wherever they may be in the world," stated Gideon Argov, Entegris president and chief executive officer.

The company has obtained further tax holiday benefits as well as research and development grants from the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority.
