Renesas extends Flash license with Powerchip Semiconductor Print E-mail

ImagePowerchip Semiconductor (PSC) has been given a new license by Renesas Technology that allows PSC to fabricate 1Gbit AG-AND flash memory devices and market them under its own branding. PSC bought a 300mm shuttered fab from struggling Macronix to boost production of NAND Flash for contract customer's such as Renasas Technology and for its own use in January 2006.
