Praxair Electronics is raising the price of its tantalum products worldwide, by 15 percent or higher due to the rapidly escalating raw material costs related to the mining and recycling of tantalum and tantalum ore, the company said.
“Praxair Electronics will be working with our worldwide customers to expand tantalum recycling programs and other productivity measures, such as long life targets, in order to mitigate the effect of the price increase," said David Strauss, Managing Director of Deposition Materials.
