Signet Solar has added three new members to its board, two of whom are seasoned semiconductor industry professionals. Freescale CEO and Chairman Rich Beyer (pictured), Spansion EVP of Worldwide Operations Ajit Manocha, and EMCO Chairman and Managing Director Rajesh Jain have all joined Signet’s Board to aid in the thin film PV manufacturer’s global expansion. 

Jeffrey Hall (pictured), CFO and Senior Vice President for KLA-Tencor since early January 2006, has announced his intended resignation from the role on March 31st, 2008. The reason given by the company for the departure was Mr. Hall’s desire to pursue an opportunity closer to home. 

Dr. Kenneth Kin (pictured), Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Service for TSMC, has announced his intention to retire from the role by the end of the year.  In the meantime, however, Dr. Kin will take on responsibility for the company’s new business initiatives as Senior Vice President of Special Projects. 

The Supervisory Board of ASML Holding NV has agreed to the four-year extension of the contract of CEO and Chairman of the Board of Management Eric Meurice (pictured). Mr. Meurice joined ASML in October 2004 and under his leadership, the company has more than doubled its income and has seen a near 50 percent increase in R&D investment. 

Renesas Technology has announced changes to its management structure, effective as of March 31st. Managing Officers Masao Nakaya and Tetsuro Kitano will be promoted to the roles of Board Director on April 1st, replacing Koji Yamanaka and Hideharu Takebe, who are set to retire. 

MoSys, Inc. has named veteran sales executive Didier Lacroix (pictured) to the role of Vice President of Worldwide Sales. In this role, Mr. Lacroix will draw on his more than 20 years of experience in the industry to drive the company’s sales business globally. 

Ronald C. Foster (pictured) has resigned from the role of FormFactor CFO to pursue other business opportunities, the company has revealed. Mr. Foster has served as CFO since March 2005, and will aid in the transition once a suitable replacement has been found. 

Gigaphoton, Inc. has announced its establishment of Gigaphoton USA, Inc., to be based in Beaverton, Oregon. The expansion is a result of the increased U.S. customer demand for Gigaphoton’s laser light sources, and the potential growth for the subsidiary inherent in the area. As President and CEO of Gigaphoton USA, Inc., Hitoshi Tomaru will be responsible for all U.S. operations. 

A member of the Conexant Board since 2004, John Marren today announced his resignation from the role at the company’s annual shareholders meeting on February 20th. Marren joined Conexant following the company’s merger with GlobespanVirata, for which company he had served as a Director for four years. 

The Cluster for Application and Technology Research in Europe on NanoElectronics (CATRENE), a EUREKA programme, has announced its appointment of a new Chairman and Office Director. Following the recent resignation of Jozef Cornu, Enrico Villa takes up the role of Chairman, while Jacques Dulongpont has been named Office Director.
