Allan Lam (pictured), former Senior Vice President for Fairchild’s Standard Products Group (SPG), has taken over worldwide sales and marketing efforts for the same company. Replacing recently retired Tom Beaver, he brings more than 28 years of marketing, management, sales and engineering experience to the role. 

International Rectifier’s search for a CEO to replace Alex Lidow, who resigned his role pending an Audit Committee report and was replaced by EVP and Secretary Donald Dancer in early October last year, has come to an end. Oleg Khaykin (pictured) is the subject of two announcements today, as he resigns his role as Amkor’s COO and takes up the role of CEO for International Rectifier, effective March 1st. 

David Mills (pictured) has been added to both the Board of Directors and the governance board for Marvell, with immediate effect. Mr. Mills has been managing general partner of private investment firm Harbourton Enterprises since 1999. 

Gopal Solanki (pictured) has taken over the Magnum Semiconductor CEO role from Jack Guedj, the company announced yesterday. Joining the company from NVIDIA, where he was Senior Vice President for the company’s chipset business, he brings over 20 years of semiconductor industry experience to the CEO role. 

Lattice Semiconductor has announced the impending resignation of CEO Steve Skaggs on May 31st, 2008. Currently serving as CEO and President of the company, Mr. Skaggs’ reason for his resignation was not disclosed. He has served as CEO since 2005 and will aid in the search for a replacement until his effective date of resignation is reached. 

Neah Power has added Joseph R. Bronson, President and COO for Sanmina-SCI, to serve on its Strategic Advisory Board. A 20-year veteran of Applied Materials earlier in his career, Mr. Bronson brings years of experience in senior management roles to Neah’s board. 

Former Qualcomm executive Jeffrey Belk (pictured) has been added to Peregrine Semiconductor’s Board of Directors, bringing years of senior management and strategic marketing experience to the role.  

Dr. Hamza Yilmaz has been added to the Alpha & Omega team, taking up the role of Executive Vice President of Business Development for the fabless company. A seasoned executive of power semiconductor companies, he has a B.S.E.E. from Yildiz Technical University, an M.S.E.E. from the University of Texas at Austin and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. 

The vacancy left by Mike Goguen on the Ikanos Board of Directors has been filled today by Frederick M. Lax (pictured), a telecommunications industry veteran. A Non-Executive Director, Mr. Lax brings more than 30 years of experience to the role.
