KLA-Tencor Corporation's Special Committee that was set up to investigate historical stock option practices has found evidence of incorrect option granting procedures in relation to former President and Chief Operating Officer, Kenneth L. Schroeder (pictured). 
Yutaka Watanbe has been appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer for SEZ Japan, succeeding Masaaki Yashiro with immediate effect. A semiconductor industry veteran, Watanbe's responsibility will lie in the development of the company's customer satisfaction in the wet wafer processing market. 
Women in Technology International have announced the names of the five new inductees to the WITI Hall of Fame. The award recognizes outstanding achievement by women in scientific and technological positions and will take place on October 30th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, during the WITI's 2006 Silicon Valley conference.
Edward Bedell has been appointed vice president of ASAT Holdings Ltd's Quality and Reliability department, replacing Mr. Ken Sicz. Bedell, who has worked in the semiconductor industry for over 30 years, will work from the company's China office in Dongguan and will report to interim CEO Tung Lok Li.
Ben Tsai, an equipment industry veteran and long-standing past employee of KLA-Tencor, has returned to the company after joining Tokyo Electron in January 2005 as a Senior Vice President of Technology, based in Japan.
Accent S.p.A. has announced the appointment of several new members to its Board of Directors. Former president and CEO of STMicroelectronics, Pasquale Pistorio (pictured), has been appointed to the board.
SCI Engineered Materials have announced the appointment of Mr. J. Douglas Jeter to the position of Marketing Manager for the company. With more than 15 years of experience in the technological industry, Jeter will initially be focusing on core competency areas and expanding those opportunities.
Roke Manor Research Ltd have announced the handover of the position of Managing Director from Paul Stein to David Smith. Smith (pictured) will now be responsible for the Siemens-owned, Hampshire-based R&D center that boasts a turnover of £40 million.
Rambus Inc. have announced that Mike Farmwald (pictured), co-founder of the technology licensing company with Dr. Mark Horowitz in 1990, is to fill the position of Senior Technical Advisor for the company. His role will focus on the design and development of new memory technologies.
In an effort to fend off Institutional Investor criticism's of the poor performance of ASM International's Front-End Division, the Supervisory Board of the company has appointed Mr. Gilbert Declerck (pictured) as its advisor, in particular for the areas of technology and industry developments, the company stated. Mr. Declerck is the Managing Director of IMEC in Belgium, one of the leading semiconductor R&D facilities in the world.
