ImageFormer Nvidia executive Alex Garcia has joined International Rectifier as Vice President of Compliance, and will oversee the company’s corporate compliance programs and internal audit function. He joins the company from his former role as Senior Director and Head of Internal Audit at Nvidia Corp.

Jorge Titinger joins Verigy as COO Print E-mail

ImageVerigy’s newly created role of Chief Operating Officer has been filled by Jorge Tittinger, who assumes the role from June 9th 2008. Mr. Titinger is a former Applied Materials and KLA-Tencor executive who joined FormFactor in November 2007 as Senior Vice President of the Product Business Group, which role he has departed to take up the new role of COO for Verigy.

Marvell appoints new CFO Print E-mail

ImageEffective as of June 23rd, Clyde R. Hosein (pictured) has been named as CFO for Marvell Technology. Mr. Hosein replaces George de Urioste, who has served as interim CFO since January 2008, and who now takes up the role of Acting COO. Former Acting COO Pantas Sutjarda now assumes the responsibilities of company CTO.

Lattice CFO steps into Interim CEO role Print E-mail

ImageLattice Semiconductor’s CEO vacancy has been filled, albeit on an interim basis. Former CEO Steve Skagg’s resignation was set for May 31st, and, with a day to spare, the company has announced that company CFO Jan Johannessen has stepped into the role until a permanent replacement can be found.

Winbond announces executive reshuffles Print E-mail

ImageWinbond Electronics Corporation has approved the appointment of former President In-Shek Hsu to deputy CEO, in which role he will oversee both the consumer and computer logic IC business groups. Replacing Mr. Hsu is Ching-Chu Chang, who takes up the role of President and takes on responsibility for the DRAM product, memory IC manufacturing and flash memory IC business groups.

Oxford Instruments founder honoured by Japanese Government Print E-mail

ImageSir Martin Wood OBE FRS (pictured), inventor of the world’s first superconducting magnet and subsequent founder of Oxford Instruments in 1959, will be awarded The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon by the Japanese Government at a ceremony in June.
