Synopsys and KLA-Tencor are collaborating on a compact yield analysis
and modeling system for Toshiba Corporation. The new modeling system
will enable Toshiba to improve parametric yields on its most advanced
sub-100-nm system-on-chip (SoC) products by predicting the impact of
process variations on final device performance as they occur during

Camstar Systems, is opening a multi-lingual customer support center in
Singapore. The new center will provide customers in Southeast Asia and
Greater China with live technical support in English and Mandarin, with
plans to expand to other languages in 2006. Technology Resources Group
(TR Group), a Camstar solutions partner, will work with Camstar's

Compared with Gartner's May 2004 forecast, its most-likely 2004 revenue
forecast for the global semiconductor market is essentially unchanged.
However, Gartner has increased its growth forecast from 25 percent to
27 percent.

semiconductor market is expected to reach a size of $213B in 2004, an
increase of 28% over 2003, virtually unchanged from the last forecast
