AMD has said
that all of its Austin, Texas offices, including the new Austin Campus will be
powered with renewable energy via the Austin Energy "GreenChoice" Program. The
contract will last 10 years. According to AMD it was one of the first companies
in Austin to purchase green power in the region and has subscribed to all four
batches of green energy offered since the program was launched in 2000. The
renewable energy comes from a wind turbine farm and two landfill sites that
