Micron Technology, has purchased a Zilog's shuttered 200mm fab in Nampa, Idaho, from ZiLOG, Inc. Micron plans to shift CMOS image sensor production, currently one of many products produced at its 200mm fab in Boise, Idaho to the old ZiLOG fab by the end of 2006.

Elpida Memory returned to profitability for its 3Q05 accounting period due to the increased ramp of its 300mm fab E300 and increased production loading on its foundry partner Powerchip Semiconductor (PSC).
