Pall Corporation and Matheson Tri-Gas, have entered into a strategic
alliance to jointly develop, manufacture and sell gas purifiers to the
semiconductor industry. Both companies will have exclusive access to
the others' purification media to improve semiconductor manufacturing
by eliminating particulate and molecular contaminants, including
oxygen, moisture and hydrocarbons from process gases. The two companies
will alsocombine their strengths in the development of new technologies
to meet the increasingly stringent and changing needs of the

BOC Edwards is making significant investments in Taiwan to consolidate
its major commitments in the country. It has invested in seven gas
plant facilities to ensure bulk gas supply to nine new semiconductor
and flat panel display manufacturing fabs currently under construction.
The gas supply schemes are being developed as part of a US$75m
investment with BOC's long-term joint venture partner, BOC Lienhwa

SAES Getters Technical Service (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. (SGTS) announced its
completion of the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System
Certification. SGTS is a wholly owned subsidiary of the SAES Getters
Group and was established to provide Ultra High Purity (UHP) gas, water
and vacuum delivery systems for the semiconductor industry. Located in
Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in Pudong, the company's focus is on supplying
piping assemblies to semiconductor equipment manufacturers for both

Dow Corning Corporation will begin supplying its Z3MS CVD Precursor
(trimethylsilane) through non-exclusive distribution arrangements with
a number of key gas distributors to the semiconductor industry. The new
