ABSTRACT

The dire market conditions in the memory sector in 2007 have worsened in the first quarter of 2008, resulting in delayed construction and tool install schedules as well as general spreadsheet preservation strategies that impact 300mm fab activity. Capital spending reductions across the industry for 2008 will also have an effect on 300mm fab plans. In this report we will focus on the developments encountered between January and the end of April 2008.
